Ahhhhhh questions about my characters!! QWQ

I think you are referring to my babies Tim and Teo. They are indeed creatures that look alike because they are considered what could be for us “Twins.”
They symbolize the gemini constellation themselves!
Two beings that rely on each other and have some sort of bond that is because they were a same entity until they got split into two. 

So in the start they did looked exactly the same. 
They were both fluffy af orange birbs chirping in space.

But Teo got shot down and as a wounded bird he fell to Earth.

Here is a look of their faces if they were human!
Teo has a slight different build due to what he endured in earth and how he was forced to train and his hair is less present, i’ll explain in  asec. 
(also you can somewhat see Teo’s face!) 

Now about the mask; 

I have said before that these creatures are covered in feathers like Andromeda and Triangulum and the more amount of feathers they have the more power/rank they posses. The more hair they have, the longer, the better because these are actually tendrils they manipulate for their food consumption and self defense, these are parts of their bodies. 

When Teo fell to Earth, most of his feathers fell off except his main ones. 
This means that his face got peeled off its feathers and so did various parts of his limbs. 
These creatures are covered in feathers, which means having these feathers peeled off makes you look like a disgrace to their kind.

Teo crafted this mask to hide his identity in shame and dishonor, he is a failure to his kind due to his fall.

Further on, his longer ‘hair’ got cut ( like the second others pictures above) making him literally not be able to live by himself because the only way to feed themselves is by using their tendrils. They cannot hunt without them.
Imagine if they cut off your hands. 
Yeah.
This pretty much means someone got a hold of this fallen creature from space and enslaved them in threat of starving them to death if they do not cooperate.
Its the first time ever a Constellation is dependent of someone else to survive.
This person was the one that gave him his bow.

Now you may be saying. 
Añes why does Tim also have peeled places in his face/body.etc. 
That is because Teo shot down Tim from the sky.
But even though Tim suffered the fall even more and lost most of his feathers his quest on finding his other half stopped him from giving a single fuck about his lack of feathers. 
His situation is also different because his tendrils are still with him, so he can still survive on his own. 

They both started as two bright orange creatures that looked exactly the same. Life acted against it and their bodies changed depending on what happened to each half.

Maybe this can clarify why they look like the same person but with different life stories.

Tl;dr:

• They are one being split into two.
  
• Teo is the one with the mask, bow, short hair but more body feathers. 
• Tim is the one with long hair and less body feathers. 
• The mask is a symbol of shame, Teo is hiding his face.
• Someone shot down Teo. 
• Teo shot down Tim.
• But have in mind Teo got his tendrils cut off and enslaved.
• Tim is looking for Teo. 
• Yes Teo is indeed only seen with his mask, that how you tell its him.
